Native Plant Lessons

Lessons below, with in-depth references, provide an introduction to our native plant species – the coast lands to the west of the mountains from San Francisco Bay to the Aleutians. I-5’s Exit 215’s (north of Seattle) Bonhoeffer Botanical Gardens and the Pilchuck History Farm serve as outdoor laboratories free for public use (when allowed open). On-line lessons contain elementary and secondary level questions (answers found in prose/photos and URLs respectively).  The structure is (CPA) NASBA’s, self-teaching students of all ages.  Comments, content, and questions: email bb@plc215.org as we are now adding 4th, 7-9th grade, and adult level questions.  Your help would be appreciated in completing this free course material honoring our ancestors, their melding of cultures, and love of our native plants.
