Violets (7150)

This is the Pioneer Violet, also called Stream Violet, is most likely found in areas that appear as understory or forest.  The Gardens also host the Blue and Pioneer, much loved by the resident rabbits.  An herb and a member of the Violaceae Family, it grows by Kiosk 06.  Pilchuck Learning Center’s sponsored Western Washington State University SAM Project extinction possibility is slight; abundant, native to Cascadia.
