Note to Teachers

Note to Teachers of State History Content
15 August 2024

www.plc215.org exists so that:

  • Those who find Washington State’s Time Immemorial materials difficult to use and other western states (and provinces) that don’t have similar content might benefit.
  • Students also might benefit from easily assessable online content related to local native plants, native animals, and area ecological content.
  • along with compiling the many useful videos and photos existing online today.
  • The teaching approach used, the professional accounting, CPA licensing (NASBA) structure with remediation (for wrong answers), truly works well. Please try it.
  • In our 16 western states and provinces, most don’t understand that “the people own ½ the land” and that land’s use could be re-tasked from uses assigned 100 years ago.
  • And we have an environmental crisis developing that we are leaving for the next generation to solve … as many old people* often do. Putting scientific, political, and religious bias aside, it needs to be described fairly.

www.plc215.org is free, a nonprofit public offering.

*This note is from an old (age 80) retired teacher who once created online (eridlc.com) courses used by 10,000 companies today along with the lady (daughter) who created 51 of those courses (after this writer wrote 2).  She, too, is retired and donating her time and expertise.  Together with others, we’ve also created the nonprofit gardens and a preschool (at WA’s Exit 215 on the I-5 Freeway), the former to serve as an outdoor laboratory (soon to be reopened to the public).

A SHAR app is being developed to tally of # of minutes, course completed by answering final question, etc. … and an automated exam and certificate of completion of all 300+ lessons. (Feasibility study only, development if use of these materials/database is sufficient.)
