Western Polypody

Western Polypody is most likely found in areas that are moist and shady. A fern and a member of the Polypodiaceae Family, it is sometimes found in dry and open meadows.   It is a member of the Polypodiaceae Family.  Leathery Polypody, also called Leatherleaf Fern, is most likely found in dry and open meadows. Both Polypodium are found by Kiosk 06.  Pilchuck Learning Center’s sponsored Western Washington State University SAM Project extinction possibility is slight; abundant, both found native to Cascadia.  Native Americans chewed on the rhizomes because of their licorice taste.

chocolate
licorice
peppermint
