The Inside-Out Flower is often found in areas that are moist and shady. A herb and a member of the Berberidaceae Family, it grows by Kiosk 03. Pilchuck Learning Center’s sponsored Western Washington State University SAM Project extinction possibility is slight; abundant, native to a small portion of Cascadia to the south and east of Puget Sound. Little record exists as to the Indigenous Peoples’ use, none regarding nourishment. Its scientific name honors Captain George Vancouver although he never explored this area.
