False Lily of the Valley

False Lily of the Valley, also called Two-Leaf False Solomon’s-Seal, is most likely found in areas that appear as understory or forest. A herb and a member of the Asparagaceae Family, it grows by Kiosk 06.  The photo is a large Spring 2024 patch of these close-by the Maple Bear statute.  Pilchuck Learning Center’s sponsored Western Washington State University SAM Project extinction possibility is slight; abundant, native to Cascadia Floristic Region in is one of our most pleasant and beautiful understory plants.  That said, if used as an ornamental it spreads via its roots and can crowd out other plants.
