Our ancestors from the time the first homo sapiens walked the Earth (estimate 150,000 years ago), to the constriction of human population (estimated members 30,000 years ago) as low as 1,000 members, to today’s 8,000,0000,0000 (billion) in population, almost always looked after and cared for the Earth.  The human deeds that are accumulating to threaten the Earth’s existence almost all came after:

the US Civil War
World War II
