Oregon mounds north of Corvallis, visited in 1967 when teaching at the brand new (then) Cheldelin Middle School. Later research revealed what we taught then was wrong. Most bodies buried within have bullet holes in their skulls, most likely killed by northern tribes with 1,000s of years of vengeance on their minds, weapons supplied by the US territorial governments.
