Biodiversity (4230)

Bonhoeffer Gardens with its 500 plant species and the Farm’s Ethnobotanical Garden, with its 99 plant species used by Native Americans for their lunches for 1,000’s of years, has created a biodiverse zone at Exit 215 (dwarfed by the Gardens’ 400+ species). Nice to read the article that the 21st Century’s Darwin, E. O. Wilson “sees preventing catastrophic climate change and saving biodiversity, or the variety of plant and animal species in the world, as two initiatives that must happen together.”   This written before his death at age 92, 26 December 2021; E.O. Wilson, this World needed you.  Thank you.
